Sonic Singapore was founded in late 1996 to support plastic injection moulding and supply production materials for the electronics and semiconductor industries. We grew with our associated companies, ADY and Santec in Japan, to serve clients around the world.
Corporate history
From Osaka in 1986 to Pioneer Junction today.
| 1986 | Advantek DY Ltd is founded in Osaka, Japan, in partnership with Advantek Inc. (USA) and Dou Yee Enterprises Pte Ltd (Singapore). It’s the parent company of Sonic Singapore. |
| 1996 | Sonic Singapore Pte Ltd is founded to support injection moulding and supply materials for the electronics and semiconductor industries. |
| 2006 | Sonic Singapore starts its slitting business and moves to International Business Park in Jurong East. Advantek DY Ltd is reorganised as ADY Co., Ltd, in partnership with Dou Yee Enterprises Pte Ltd. |
| 2009 | ADY’s representative, Mr Fujita, acquires a factory in Yamanashi with hermetic sealing capability and sets it up as Santec Co., Ltd. |

Hermetic package
Hermetic packaging with reliability and quality at Santec Japan.
Various sensors and communication devices need hermetic packaging using inorganic glass to stay reliable in harsh environments. In 2009, ADY’s representative, Mr Fujita, acquired a factory in Yamanashi with hermetic sealing capability and set it up as a subsidiary, Santec Co., Ltd. We offer a wide range of products to meet diverse needs, including TO-type caps (DUV-compatible too), TO stems (headers), flat glass lenses, dome lenses, aspherical lenses, optical coatings, optical sealed lids that solder-join optical windows and metal shells, various lenses, and custom-shaped headers and caps.
